Remote Learning at Audubon
We are going to be embarking on a two week remote learning option for students starting November 10. This is because of the number of staff members being quarantined due to contact with confirmed and potentially positive COVID cases. Some staff that is not quarantined will also work from home during the next few weeks as a precaution. We will still have an open office and some staff will work from school through the 20th. If you need to reach the office please call us. We can help you get something that a student may have forgotten during this time as well.
As you read below many of your questions will hopefully be answered. It talks about schedules, meals, specials and other parts of the day you will have as we move forward.
We are still here to support you and your children during this time. Please let us know what you need and how we can help.
Thank you all!
Wishing you health and wellness,
Aaron Ford
Tuesday, November 10th
All of the students will be participating in an "asynchronous" learning day for Tuesday so that staff can get everything ready for the remainder of the remote learning cycle. The only contact that students will have with teachers on Tuesday will be their morning meeting and by appointment if the student reaches out.
November 11 - November 20
Teachers will be posting schedules on Schoology Tuesday morning so that families can start to make their plans for what things begin looking like on Wednesday.
Instruction Time - Something to expect as we move forward with remote learning is we will not have students participating in 6.5 hours of online, live learning each day. That is not what is best for students and we do not want them sitting in front of the computer "live" all day. Students will be having 90-120 minutes of live learning with their classroom teacher each day with some additional live time with specials teachers and Random Acts of Kindness.
Specials Classes - students that are in art or music this week will continue to have live specials. They will go to their specials Schoology page and join via WebEx during their regularly scheduled time. Those students that have PE will log into Coach Tarver's Schoology page and participate in PE choice activities.

Planned Return - November 30th
