EOS Survey in DORA:
Parents:
We are conducting a student survey for all students at FPHS through one of our professional development partners, Equal Opportunity Schools. The survey results will help influence some of our schoolwide goals and let us know some of the areas where we need to improve. We want to try and hear from every student so we encourage you to talk to your child about completing it as soon as possible. There is an app on the student DORA page that takes them right to the survey. If they do not see the app when they log in, try searching “EOS” in the DORA search bar and it should pop up. When logging in, make sure you are using your student email address and take out the zeros that are in front of the student ID number.

Boys Basketball Update:
1/20/22
Parkland, WA..........The Franklin Pierce Boys basketball team cruised past the Highline Pirates from King County in a non-league win Thursday night. The Cardinals players and fans heard plenty of whistles blowing as the two teams combined for over 60 free throws shot. The flow of the game was often interrupted by foul calls and neither team was able to find much rhythm early on. The Cardinals started slow, but then kicked in to high gear and went on a 7-0 run sparked by a two-handed breakaway jam from Senior guard Johnjohn "The Great One" Barbee, to take the lead and never look back. Barbee finished with 33 points and 6 rebounds. The Cardinals continue to get great play from Senior Forward Nehemiah "Monday Tuesday" Weekly who contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds. Sophomore Guard Mason "The Tank" Thomas found his outside stroke connecting on 3 long-range 3pointers on his way 27 points. Final Score: FP-86 HHS-61.
With the win, the Cardinals improve to 8-2 on the season and currently ranked #9 in 2A State Poll, (league leading White River High School is currently ranked #1 in same poll). Up next: League contest against Orting High School, Friday, 1/21/22 tipoff 7pm.
complete box score: Ja.Barbee-2, Thomas-27, Marong-5, Herrera-4, Weekly-14, Jo.Barbee-33, Starky-1.

Covid 19 Testing Requirements
Recently the Washington State Department of Health in working with the WIAA updated guidelines around high school athletics and testing requirements. Please read below the latest announcement from the DOH below.
In response to recent sports-related outbreaks, the testing requirements for high-risk sporting activities has been updated to require screening testing of all athletes, coaches, trainers and supporting personnel, regardless of vaccination status. Further, the testing frequency has increased to 3 times weekly.
