Fifth Grade Field Trip-UTEACH

Our field trip to the University of Texas campus will be Friday, February 21st. The students will rotate through lessons connected to the fifth grade science objectives. You will need to fill out two permission slips. One I gave the kids and the other was emailed to you. Please return these soon.

Parent Information Night:

On February 24th from 6:00-8:00pm at Four Points Middle School, faculty will share what to expect in middle school, including differences between elementary and middle schools. Course selection sheets, course offerings and electives will also be addressed in detail. After a description of the elective wheel, performances from the cheerleaders, drill team, choir and band will top the evening’s events. Parents and students are welcome to arrive early to tour the building before the evening's presentation.

Four Points Middle School Visit

Friday, February 28th from approximately 9:00-1:00, students will take a bus to Four Points Middle School to tour the school and hear about courses/electives. They will make preliminary choices for their electives and bring the paper home for you to complete together. They will also get to have lunch there. Students are welcome to bring their own lunch or purchase a lunch at Four Points. Lunches can be charged to the students’ accounts at the register.

Elective Choice Sheets: during 5th grade visits, students will complete their choice sheets, turn in a carbon copy, and take home the other copy to be signed and approved by parents. Together with their parents, they will input the choices into Texas My Zone.

Students will return the paper choice sheet to their teacher, and Mrs. Embry will turn in the signed copy to Kacey Selken.
