Halee Hudson

Halee's Bio

Halee began throwing shot put and disc in 7th grade at Grant County Middle School. She not only threw for the middle school team, she also threw in high school school meets as well. Her very first varsity meet out that season,, she placed 5th in shot put and was hooked! Coach Brian Soules helped her grow as a thrower over her 7th and 8th grade year. She concluded her 8th grade year ranked #1 in the state in shot put with a personal best 6lb throw of 35 feet 2 inches. (Halee just missed going to the high school state meet coming in 2nd in the regional in discus.)

Halee is now a freshman at Scott County High School in Georgetown, KY. Halee was a member of the freshman volleyball team earning the 3D award (desire, dedication and determination), freshman basketball team and is proud to represent the Cardinals Track and Field team this Spring.

Halee has been working with Michael Reichart since February of 2012. Coach Reichart was a member of the Canadian National Team and also threw for Kansas University.

Halee maintains a 3.6 GPA and hopes to enter into the engineering village next year as a sophomore at Elkhorn Crossing, part of SCHS. She is the daughter of Chuck and Mandi Hudson of Williamstown, KY. (Mandi is an employee of Scott County Schools.) She has a younger sister, Kadee, and a younger brother, Bryan. Halee aspires to continue her track and field career in college.
