What is it?
Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that messes up cell growth in your nervous system, making tumors to form on nerve tissue. These tumors may develop anywhere in your nervous system, including in your brain, spinal cord and nerves. Neurofibromatosis is usually happens in childhood or early adulthood.
What causes this horrible disease?
Neurofibromatosis happens because of a genetic mutation. That are passed from a parent and passed down to child. Each type of this disease is caused by mutations in different parts of your genes. Also when your cells get uncontrolled cell growth.
