Dear Winnetka Families,

• November 2nd Mountain View College will have a Dia de Los Muertos Festival starting at 5:00 pm. They invited Winnetka to set up Dia de Los Muertos Altars to commemorate our loved ones who have passed away. If you would be interested in setting up an altar at Mountain View, please contact Winnetka. We have kits and materials for families who would like to set up their own altar at Mountain View College.
• November 1st and 2nd our scholars can wear attire that honors the Day of the Dead to School.
• November 3rd is our Monthly Parent Workshop on the Senate Bill 9 science lessons and parent approval for their children in grades K-5th to participate.
• November 8 due to Elections taking place at our campus throughout the day, the school will be closed for scholars, teachers, and staff members. Teachers and staff will have a professional development day.
• November 21st-25th will be Thanksgiving Break. The campus will be closed.

• El 2 de noviembre Mountain View College tendrá un Festival del Día de los Muertos a partir de las 5:00 pm. Invitaron a Winnetka a establecer altares del Día de los Muertos para conmemorar a nuestros seres queridos que han fallecido. Si está interesado en instalar un altar en Mountain View, comuníquese con Winnetka. Tenemos kits y materiales para familias que deseen montar su propio altar en Mountain View College.
• El 1 y 2 de noviembre, nuestros alumnos pueden usar atuendos que honren el Día de los Muertos a la escuela.
• El 3 de noviembre es nuestro taller mensual para padres sobre las lecciones de ciencias del proyecto de ley del Senado 9 y la aprobación de los padres para que sus hijos en los grados K-5 participen.
• El 8 de noviembre debido a las elecciones que se llevarán a cabo en nuestro campus durante todo el día, la escuela estará cerrada para los estudiantes, maestros y miembros del personal. Los maestros y el personal tendrán un día de desarrollo profesional.
• Del 21 al 25 de noviembre serán las vacaciones de Acción de Gracias. El campus estará cerrado.

Dear Winnetka Families,

One of our goals this year with the House System, is to help our scholars become Leaders in the Community. One of the ways that we will do this, is by teaching them about the importance of contributing to their community through a monthly service project. This month's project begins with the House of Altruismo and its goal to give back to the community through a can food drive to make Thanksgiving baskets for families in need. If you may be interested, please donate items November 7-15. Thank you, your support is greatly appreciated. #Winnetka United

Uno de nuestros objetivos este año con el Sistema de Casas es ayudar a nuestros alumnos a convertirse en Líderes en su Comunidad. Una de las formas en que haremos esto es enseñándoles sobre la importancia de contribuir a su comunidad a través de un proyecto de servicio mensual. El proyecto de este mes comienza con la Casa de Altruismo y su objetivo de contribuir a la comunidad a través de una colecta de alimentos de lata para hacer canastas de Acción de Gracias para familias necesitadas. Winnetka scholars will be invited to create Dia de los Muertos Altar in Honor of Loved ones. These altars will be on display at Mountain View College from October 26-November 2nd. The Festival with music, food, and events will take place on November 2nd.

Se invitará a los eruditos de Winnetka a crear el Altar del Día de los Muertos en honor a sus seres queridos. Estos altares estarán en exhibición en Mountain View College del 26 de octubre al 2 de noviembre. El Festival con música, comida y eventos se llevará a cabo el 2 de noviembre.

Thank you Winnetka PTA for doing a special tribute to the #Uvalde children and their two beloved teachers. They will forever be in our hearts. Gracias PTA por hacer un homenaje especial a los niños de Uvalde y a sus dos queridas maestras. Estarán por siempre en nuestros corazones.
