Middle School Dan-tivity Night is Tonight!!
If your child is not feeling well,
or if they are showing symptoms of illness,
please keep them home.
It will not only prevent the spread of COVID-19, but it will also prevent the spread of other illnesses that are currently being seen in our students.

2021-2022 Updated District Calendar
Please note that due to unused snow days, the last day of school will now be Friday, June 17th.
Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17 will be early dismissal days.
Fine Arts Festival!
It was a wonderful night celebrating our Fine Arts! Our Art Festival and Band/Chorus concert brought so many families to our mindfulness garden and gymnasium! What a great night to showcase our students!
Athletics Permission Slip
If any Gr 5-8 student wishes to stay after school to view an after-school athletic contest, the permission slip below needs to be signed.
NJSLA
Delaware Township School, along with all other schools in New Jersey, will be administering the New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA) to students in Grades 3-8 in the content areas of English Language Arts and Mathematics. Students in Grades 5 & 8 will also be assessed in the area of Science.

Parents & Guardians, please make every effort to have your child at school on time on the days of these assessments. In addition, please read the following:
- Encourage your child to get a good night's rest and eat a healthy breakfast each morning.
- The school will provide headphones to any student who needs them. However, students may bring their own headphones to school. Wireless earbuds will not work for this assessment.
- All students should charge their chromebooks every night to prepare for the following day's assessment.
- If students are absent during their scheduled day of testing, they will be rescheduled during one of the make-up testing days.
- Smartphones and smart watches are not permitted in testing areas.

DTS PiE Color Run - May 21st
Our first color run will be held on 5/21/22 at the school starting at 9 a.m. This is a free event for everyone (DTS families, staff, faculty, alumni) with a 3k and 5k course. PiE is looking for volunteers to help with the event as well as for everyone to participate. If you are interested in volunteering, please email PiE at dtspie@gmail.com.

Penny War Declared - May 23rd to May 27th
Another Penny War has been declared so save your change as homerooms compete for an ice cream party from PiE. Each homeroom will have a container to collect your spare change - pennies, dimes, nickels, quarters - with the heaviest being declared the winners! All change collected will be donated to Fisherman’s Mark (Lambertville).
8th Grade Community Service Award - due May 27th
Parents of 8th grade students should have received an application for the Community Service Award via email. Please contact us with any questions you may have. Applications are due by Friday May 27th at 5 p.m.
DTS PiE Painting Night - June 2nd
Open to 4th to 8th graders, come out to the School from 6 to 8 p.m. for a fun night with your friends. Brian Fisher from Paint Party Farm will lead everyone in painting their own artwork, while, putting their own unique design to the piece. There is no fee and looking for volunteers to assist (email dtspie@gmail.com if available). If you can’t get there right on time, no worries, just let us know and you can join when you arrive.

DTS Color Run
It's time for our First Annual Color Run! Join us in coloring our community this Spring at our Run / Walk 5k event being held outdoors at DTS on May 21st from 9:00-10:30. This event is a free, fun, family event hosted by PiE!

If you would like something published in the newsletter, please email your submission to slipson@dtsk8nj.org by each Tuesday at 3:30pm. Please include the length of time you'd like your information to be in the newsletter.
All submissions must be approved by the school administration
before being included in the newsletter.
