Recycle, Reuse, Reduce for Earth Day
The History of Earth Day
Gaylord Nelson made a decision in 1962 that we should help the Earth become a better place. Nelson headed to Washington D.C. to convince president John F Kennedy to stand up against environmental issues. It was not long before president Kennedy heard Nelsons concerns and agreed that action should be taken. And that is how Earth Day started.

Ways to Recycle
One way to Recycle is to have a contest in your neighborhood to see who can collect the most trash in one year. When you get all the paper from your neighbors you can put it in the paper bin for the recycling truck. That can help save trees because people cut them down to make paper so to save those trees you can recycle paper.
Ways to Reduce
You can reduce by turning the water off when you brush your teeth, wash your hands, and are doing the dishes. You can also turn off the lights when your leaving your room, or when you are done going to the bathroom.
Ways to Reuse
One way to reuse is to make things out of plastic like a cat feeder. It can save money too, which will save the trees because you do not have to use that much paper. You can also reuse paper bags after you go to the grocery store.
