Tips to Dress for Success
DOs
- Dress for the job you're interviewing for
- Make sure you feel confident in the outfit you're wearing
- Dress in layers so you can be comfortable in different temperatures
- Plan your outfit at least 24 hours in advance
- Keep it simple- subtle jewelry, make-up, and perfume/cologne
- Make sure you're comfortable
- Ladies- If you play with your hair, make sure you put it up or out of the way
DON'Ts
- Don't overdress or under dress- example: no jeans and t shirts for a business job or suit and tie for an entry level job
- Don't wear anything that makes you feel uncomfortable
- Don't show up with unkempt hair
- Don't wear improperly sized clothing
- Don't wear overly short skirts or loud patterns
- Don't dye your hair an unnatural color
