A Note From Miss Kelly
Thank you to everyone for making our Stone Soup party a success! I've added some great pictures from our feast.
The first grade students did an amazing job at our music concert! Check out some pictures below. Here is the link for the video.
If your child is going to be absent the last week of school before the holidays, please let me know ahead of time. Also, if they will miss more than 2 days you need to fill out a leave of absence form in the office.
Social Studies homework: As a part of International Week, students will be teaching each other about their home countries. For homework next week your child will be discussing what country is special to them and what makes it special and different from other countries. Do they have traditions? During explore students will design an artifact that represents that country.
Here is the schedule for International Week:
Monday, December 7
-Home country celebration - Wear your national costume/dress
Tuesday, December 8
-Sports day - Wear your favorite sports team
Wednesday, December 9
-Qatar day - Wear Qatar's national colors (maroon, white) or national dress
-International buffet - students will be going at 9:30am so they do not need to bring a snack, but they still need to bring a lunch. If your child has an allergy please plan to accompany them through the buffet line.
Thursday, December 10
-International day - Wear your international week t-shirt
