Autumn Lane Family Focus
A School Community Newsletter

A message from the principal
Happy New Year Autumn Lane Families,
Welcome 2023!! It's amazing how quickly the fall of 2022 went. With that said, our school community had some wonderful events to wrap up the year. You will see some pictures below illustrating just a few of the amazing things that happened in your child's school.
This January there are some fun family events, and some changes to be on the look out for. The major change is to our end of day car rider system. In a few weeks we will be transitioning to a new system, PikMyKid. Below you will see a more thorough explanation. There will also be more information shared over the next two weeks to prepare for this change. Our school will be making that transition on January 23rd.
Another change to expect is that our school will be sending the Family Focus weekly rather than monthly from now on. Each week will bring updates as well a new focus from various departments within our school. We hope that you find this communication helpful, and we would love to hear feedback for improvement.
Finally, the Annual Parent Perception Survey window has now reopened. As you know that feedback is critical for school improvement. Our goal is to get 200 responses this year. Please take the 10 minutes to share your input for us to make your family's school experience the best it can be.
With great respect,
Mr. Michael Ferris
Proud Principal of Autumn Lane

Introducing PikMyKid a new Car Rider Pick Up App/System
The unique features of PikMyKid allow you, as parents, to easily change pick up modes, quickly delegate to an alternate individual for pickup, change to an ‘After School’ program, and even schedule for future pickup mode, pickup individual, and after school programs. This app allows you to be in full control of your child’s dismissal and it gives us, the school, complete information regarding dismissal and the ability to acknowledge every change and to instantly check your child’s dismissal status should you have a question.
We are very excited about this addition and know you will be too. Check your emails over the next week for additional information and we will be on our way to a safer, quicker, and more efficient dismissal process. To Learn a little more on your own, please check out the following link that will show you a few of the PikMyKid features. https://www.pikmykid.com/features/forparents/

CAR TAG #s will be sent next week!! Parents may need it to finish registering in the app.
