12:00-1:00pm Strategic Framing Brown Bag Session

1:00-2:00pm Lunch

2:00-4:00pm Partnership discussion and planning

4:00-5:00pm Wrap up and next steps

The purpose of this meeting is to explore how a collaboration between UNICEF, The Center on the Developing Child and FrameWorks Institute can get the latest Early Childhood Development (ECD) science to local decision makers in order to improve children’s outcomes. Particularly, UNICEF is interested in adapting this work to the Kenya context, where the chance to influence the thinking of local decision makers with science is greater. In this country, where UNICEF works in partnership with the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, budgetary and governance accountability to execute ECD services has been transferred from the national government to local decision makers. Other countries from the Eastern and Southern region will look at the results in Kenya and understand how similar research could be applicable to their contexts.
