News from Class 3
News from the Classroom
Shelter projects are due in class on Monday, May 2nd. They can be delivered to the classroom and placed on each of the students' desks. On Monday we will invite the other classes to come to look at our shelters. I hope your children are proud of their work, and that this challenge was enjoyable.
Homework will begin again on Monday!
May Faire was beautiful. The students were very proud of their dance, and thought that all the other dances were beautiful to watch. It seemed like a very relaxed and communal event. I am grateful for all the help with the throne, flowers, tarp, chairs and garland making. Thank you for being a part of my community!
Most of the students have finished the Mathematics part of the testing. We have one more section left in Language Arts, and then many of the students will be done with testing. It is because this test is untimed that are still a few students that need more time to complete. I will be excusing them from their subject classes to give them time to finish their test. Overall, the testing was well received, and the students tried very hard.
We will slowly transition into a Math block starting this week. The students will be learning about weight and measurement. Because the test timing was unpredictable, I was not able to tell the stories that I had planned, so I will continue with the bible stories up through Samson.
Please have your child bring their library card on Tuesdays, as we will be now be taking trips to the library to check out books. If your child does not have a library card, please sign the application below and send it in to class with them. We won't go every Tuesday, but I want the students to be able to check out books if, and when, we do go!
