Kinder Kommunicator
January 31, 2016
This past week we learned about animal habitats. The kids really enjoyed this topic. I would like to incorporate animals into our next writing unit. We will be doing informational writing and some how-to's. I would like to work in some animal reports! This week coming up we will be working more with number stories, adding, and subtracting. We will also be practicing reading and representing two-digit numbers. We will not be adding any sight words this week as it will be a review week. Review these words at home with your child: come, me, with, my, you, what, are, now. Practice writing the words in lowercase letters! :)
Sorting Animals
Grace is working during centers to sort animals, pet or wild.
Writing Center
Since we learned about animal habitats this week, one of the prompts was, "There is a _________, in the grassland." Along with other habitats. Preston kid-wrote chedu (cheetah). Way to go, Pres!
Todo Math
We got our iPads up to date with some new apps! Alex is playing one of our new favorite math apps, Todo Math. It's free, download it at home!
