Big picture

Bus Riding

Good airflow is a recommendation to help alleviate the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, our buses will be opening some windows (not all the way down) to create this airflow. Please make sure your child has dressed appropriately as it might get a little cold on the bus do to this airflow. The heaters will be running to help balance out the temperature.

COVID Self Certification

Millburn District 24 has partnered with Frontline to offer COVID self-certification to staff and students. You will receive a communication from School Messenger with instructions on how to set up your child's self-certification account. If you run into difficulties setting up an account, please call the school office to verbally certify that your child does not have any of the following symptoms: a fever of 100.4 and above, new cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue from unknown cause, muscle/body aches and/or chills, new loss of smell or taste, sore throat, new congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain from unknown causes, and/or new onset of moderate to severe headache from unknown cause.

COVID Information

See below for our updated CVOID-19 Guidelines and also testing sites in the area.

Zooming/Absence (In-Person Only)

As a reminder, our teachers will be able to Zoom in any students that are quarantined due to COVID related issues.

Zooming in a blended classroom will not be the exact same experience as their in-person peers, but it will allow for them to get exposure to the core lessons that are being taught. SeeSaw and Schoology will still be accessible to those students while they are out.

Please note that this is only for students that are in quarantine due to COVID-related circumstances. A student can start zooming the following school day once the school has been made aware. This allows time for the teacher to prepare their Zooming station to be set up.

iPad Cleaning

It is part of the student responsibility of using a school device to maintain the device- this includes cleaning it, regularly. Below is directly from the Apple Website

To Clean Your iPad

Using a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces. Don't use bleach. Avoid getting moisture in any opening, and don't submerge your Apple product in any cleaning agents. Don't use on fabric or leather surfaces.

Valentine's Day Plans

With the circumstances this year, Valentine's celebrations will need to be adjusted. We will not be exchanging Valentine's Day cards between students and staff. Instead, we will do a Spirit Week leading up to Valentine's Day. On Friday, February 12, teachers will do fun activities associated with Valentine's Day. In addition, EPIC will be providing a craft for our students to work on for Valentine's Day.

Yearbook Information

Don’t forget to order this year’s historic yearbook before we run out! Your student will not want to miss out on all of the stories that are making this year so unique. The deadline for ordering the yearbook is January 21, 2021. On January 22, the final quantity will be submitted for yearbooks sold. Don't miss out!
