From Our Student Council

To help support the Morgan Frazier Foundation, we are asking for help from our Robison Rockets in donating personal items. Students may bring in toiletry items (1 point each), socks/ fuzzy socks (2 points) or soft blankets (3 points). All items must be new. Our goal is to reach 1,000 points! Student Council members will be collecting the donated items each day from February 28-March 10. Thank you for your support!

Robison Artists

We've had some exciting recognitions for several Robison artists. Some of our students were recognized for their artwork from the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Competition, and we had a third-grade student recognized for her work in a Houston coloring contest. Congratulations to all of these students!


Our very own Mishall Khan made it to the top 200 contest entries for the decorating/coloring contest. Two hundred 3rd graders from Houston and surrounding areas won in this decorating/ coloring contest, and each winning student received passes to the 2022 Rodeo Houston Show, an award letter, and a big blue ribbon. They also display their artwork during the rodeo.

RISE Rally Recognition

This year each teacher is choosing two students who are role models for others. These students regularly demonstrate RISE behavior. Our RISE matrix is shown at the bottom of this newsletter, and all of our students should be very familiar with this. Pictured below are our students who were recognized at our second RISE rally for this year! Congratulations to each of these students.

In order to provide the best and most secure testing environment for our students, we are unable to accommodate visitors on the following dates:

We appreciate your understanding! We typically have schedule changes as well on these testing dates to allow the grade levels who are testing to have as much uninterrupted testing time as possible.

Upcoming Second Grade Program

Second Grade Parents,

Your child has been working so hard preparing for the Second Grade Program. It is so much fun practicing the program with them. So please, mark your calendars for March 8, 2022. We are preparing a musical called “Pajama Party”. We will be performing at two different times. Group A and B will perform at 6:00 p.m.(please have your child in the music room at 5:50 p.m.) and Groups C and D will perform at 7:00 p.m. (please have your child in the music room at 6:50 p.m.) Your child should already know what Large Group letter they are. Your child will need to wear pajamas that night and also bring a small to a medium stuffed animal. We cannot wait to perform for you. Thanks so much for your support. Teacher Requests for 2022-2023

As we plan for next year, please know that careful consideration will be given to each student’s placement. Your child’s current teachers and the assistant principals will work together using their knowledge of your child’s learning style, personality, and academic strengths or concerns to make the best classroom assignment for next year. If you have information about your child that you feel needs to be strongly considered, please email both assistant principals carrie.mccollister@cfisd.net AND courtney.nespeca@cfisd.net no later than Friday, April 29. Information that is considered to be helpful includes information about your child’s learning style and/or personality, as well as your concerns with meeting their academic, emotional, or social needs. Please refrain from asking for your child to be assigned to a particular teacher, as teaching assignments have not been finalized for next year. Please trust that we know our staff well, so the information described above is what helps us to match your child with a teacher in the best way possible. If there are specific qualities in a teacher that have proven to be successful for your child, please include that information as well. We take this responsibility very seriously, and we appreciate your trust in our judgment.

Lunch Visitors

On Thursday, January 27, we resumed having lunch visitors at Robison! Please be sure to read over the guidelines on the flyer below. All guests MUST have their license scanned before being allowed to enter the cafeteria. You will be given a nametag after you have checked in. Lunch visitors may not enter the instructional areas. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we restore this fun opportunity. Please arrive a few minutes before your child's lunchtime, and expect larger crowds on Friday. We do not have seating areas for guests, so it is possible that visitors will need to wait outside until we are able to accommodate you in the cafeteria.


If you wish to purchase a school lunch, the prices are different than the student prices. Adult lunches are $4.25, water is 50 cents, and ice cream is 75 cents. These may be purchased using your child's account, as long as you've added money to their account.

Field Days

We are excited about our fun field days that will be taking place in April. Parents are welcome to come and cheer on our students. Please be sure to RSVP for the event so we can have your nametag ready to go! A link to the RSVP form is below. You may print this out and send it to school. We will also print copies and send them home next Friday.


T-shirts are being designed and will be available to order soon for those who are interested. Each teacher will select their color. Shirts may be purchased, but it is not mandatory.

Student Birthdays

If you'd like to have your child's birthday celebrated at school, we offer parents the opportunity to purchase ice cream from the cafeteria to be distributed to their child's class during lunch.
