Greetings Panther Families

We are well into the second semester, which means that graduation and the end of the semester are coming up fast! Between now and then we have a lot of activity going here at Corona as we are wrapping up our winter sports season, getting ready for spring sports, preparing for testing season, and just continuing with our day-to-day school operations of supporting teaching and learning. With such busy schedules, it is easy to forget and overlook some things here and there. For this reason, it is important to maintain communication with teachers and counselors; especially as counselors begin registration for next year's classes...yes, your student is already picking classes for next year. At any time you have questions, feel free to reach out to us for any necessary guidance or support.

Now enjoy your Panther Prowl for February 2, 2018.

Antonio Gonzalez, Ed.D.,

Our dramatic scene starring Chris Duong, Katrina Fakhouri, Ethan Kim, Allie Nguyen, and Kyle Waldron brought home first place. Shaye Panik's dramatic monologue earned her a second place trophy, and our classical scene starring Mason Carmichael, Ethan Kim, Cecilia Landin, and Sarahi Valle earned second place. AP Environmental Science

Our AP Environmental Science classes got to tour the City of Corona WasteWater Treatment Plant and Prado Wetlands. Students had the opportunity to see the process of wastewater treatment and afterwards met with Wildlife Biologists. They conducted Water Quality Testing on the Santa Ana River and viewed the ponds use to reduce nitrates, phosphates, and pharmaceuticals in the river. Students also had a close-up encounter with a Harris Hawk, surveyed the wildlife, and had the opportunity to hold snakes. Students learned about the endangered Least Bell's Vireo, viewed the invasive cowbirds and saw the traps used to catch them. Furthermore, they learned about the importance that education and especially internships can play in working toward their career goals. This fieldtrip was funded through a grant from the City of Corona and partnered with the Inland Empire Water Keepers.

Textbook Room News

Parents, every year as we near graduation students are notified of outstanding textbooks that can lead to obligations. These outstanding books can end up costing the school thousands of dollars collectively if not returned. For seniors, this may result in withholding of the diploma. As notices are sent home regarding obligations from our textbook room, please work with your students to ensure that all books are returned. You may contact Mrs. Rapp ( in the textbook room if there are questions regarding this issue.
