Liana's Legacy 2015

We had our annual citizenship event, Liana’s Legacy, on Friday, May 29, 2015. The event was a huge success and our students, parents and Doyle’s staff all had a great time! We are proud to use our proceeds to support The Della Penna Pediatric Center of Doylestown Hospital, NOVA as well as Doyle families in need.

**We are very grateful for all of the generous donations and for all of our amazing volunteers. Thank you to all of the families who donated items for our class raffle baskets. Your generosity was greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Deb Hanson and Laura Mill and their families, Doyle’s staff, our 6th grade students, CB West Key Club, Lenape’s Junior National Honor Society, Cub Scout Pack 24, and Doyle parents (past and present) who helped run the games, sell tickets, clean up and more!

From Our 6th Grade Field Day Captains

Cooperation - Andrew Weisman

Field day is an exciting day with multiple fun activities for students, but it is also to show

how students can demonstrate cooperation together with one another. Cooperation is shown on field day in many ways. Every game is a team activity, this means that everyone has to work together to get the job done. For example, when everyone tries their hardest and works as a team, they will most likely be very successful. During the tug of war, if everyone on the team pulls, they could all pull their team to victory together. “Competition has been shown to be useful up until a certain point and no further, but cooperation, which is the thing we must strive for today, begins were competition leaves off” – Franklin D Roosevelt.

EOY Medication Pick Up

The end of another school year is quickly approaching and we wanted to remind parents to pick up their child/ren's medication from our nurse's office before the end of the school year. Any medication not claimed by June 18 will be destroyed.

Please also remember that we need a new medication order form for each school year.
As a reminder, all controlled medications must be hand delivered to the certified school nurse, health associate or principal's designee by a parent or guardian at which time it will be counted and recorded on the student's medication log. Examples of controlled medicines include, but are not limited to: Ritalin, Dexedrine, Adderall, Phenergan with Codeine, Ativan, Tylenol #3 and Fiorinal with Codeine.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our health office at 267-893-4315.
