Hello Wolf Pack Families,

The festivities continue at Selkirk, right alongside our 2nd-quarter progress reports, which will be live in PowerSchool on Monday.

Lots of excitement around the Winter Ball! Check out the upcoming Tuesday Edition of the Howling Herald for pics. A special shout out to our PTO, the parent volunteers, and Sydnee Wheeler as the event chair.

  • Tuesday, Dec. 20: Activity Day during 5th and 6th periods.
  • Winter Break begins on Wednesday, Dec. 21.

  • Boys' basketball practice begins Jan. 4.



Sports This Week:

  • No sports this week, however, sign up for boys' basketball is happening in Final Forms now and practices begin our first day back to school/

Hot Cocoa Bar raffle prize will happen on Monday. Congrats to Michael M., Carli J., Luke Purdy, & Grant S.


Congratulations to Henry VanA and Adrienne W who won the Scholastic Prize Packs full of fun things from our Book Fair.

Lots of fun new raffle prizes, along with student favorites, will be announced in January. Students can earn raffle tickets by trading in 10 Wolf Bucks or by being selected by a teacher for a PACK Character Award. Students can select which raffle they most want to enter.

Lego Club Update

Lego Club is having a blast! Congrats to the winners of our Original Build Competition from earlier this week:

Join Lego Club at anytime - We meet Wednesdays after school until 3:45pm in Mrs. Kirsch’s room 217. Sign up using Final Forms!

NO MEETING January 3. Our next meeting will be Wednesday, January 11.

Ping Pong Comes to Selkirk!

Join our newly formed Ping Pong Club that will be advised by Mrs. Mott. Students can sign up in Final Forms. It is free to participate, but we are limited to 20 students, so sign up right away!

The Ping Pong Club will meet on Tuesdays from 2:45-4:00 beginning Dec. 6th.

6th Grade Math is Cool...Seriously!

If you enjoy math, love to compete, or just want to improve your math skills, consider joining the Selkirk “Math is Cool” team…


Coaches: Mr. Northern, Nate Fox and Andrew Bota

Who: 6th- Graders

When: Mondays & Wednesdays from 2:50-4:00pm


  • First meeting is Wednesday, November 30
  • Finishes with “Math is Cool” Championships on a “yet-to-be-determined date” in early February.

Open to the first 25 6th-graders to sign-up who have ASB Fee paid!
