Lee's Summit Parents As Teachers

October 2018

Big picture
Fall weather is coming! I love the smells and the crisp weather.

There is still plenty of time to get out and enjoy this weather, do some apple picking or find a fall festival to attend. I love to take a hike and use my senses to smell, feel or to look at all the beauty that surrounds me. Depending on the age of your child you could look for certain colors, match items, or find things that start with a certain letter or sound. Take time to enjoy this weather and your family.

It’s Pumpkin Time

Big picture
You can transfer pumpkin seeds using your fingers and pincer grasp or try with some tongs. Bigger kiddos can use the dice and count out how many to move.
