Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10

It's almost Teacher Appreciation time! Do you want to earn extra raffle tickets for your teacher? You can! Sign up to decorate a door or donate items to our raffle or food items for the week and your teacher will get an extra chance at winning some fun stuff! Also, watch for other ways to earn more tickets!

We have a fun week planned and can't wait to show the staff at Maple Grove Elementary just how much we love them.

We are still in great need of donations for our silent auction for our wonderful Maple Grove teachers. Be creative! Your time, your skill, your business, yourself are all needed!

Ideas for donation:

bulletin board help, massage services, hair care services or product, gift cards (for dinner, movies, Target, Cabela's, Bath and Body Works, Michaels, Nike, Dutch Bros., Starbucks, Wahooz, Big Al's, etc). No donation is too big or too small! Do you own a home business? This is a great way to advertise! Include a business card with your donation! Last year was so succesful. Let's do it again, Maple Grove! Donations can be dropped off at the front office, or call, text or email Kathy Johnson for help, pick up, or information. Thanks!!

Thank you for all the support of our events. We are looking forward to another amazing year next year. The board for the 2019/2020 school year is:

Shaunna Cook: President

Tyfanie Adams: Vice President

Sara Alzheimer: Secretary

Tiffany Kyle: Treasurer

Shawna Moulder: Membership

Join us on the first day of school after the bell for our Welcome Back Breakfast in the courtyard. We'll look forward to seeing everyone after summer!

Attention 5th grade parents: Would you like your student to join our 6th grade PTA leadership group next year? This year's 6th grade PTA wrote and received a grant for a Little Free Library, organized a school-wide Kindness Week, and volunteered at school events. We are excited for the second year of this group. Any 5th grader who signs-up by the last day of school will be invited to join us on the first day of school for a pizza lunch provided by the PTA. Membership forms will be coming home with your student this week!

Grizz Run

This year our PTA Griz Run will be on May 10th. We will share the run times for each grade level once they are set. The PTA will be raising money to help purchase a rock wall for the new gym. If you would like to help with this project, please send in a donation with your student by Friday, May 3. The grade level that collects the most money will have ice cream on the playground. The PTA is excited to add another opportunity for our students in PE.

Big picture

Congratulations to Kaylee Hahn!

Kaylee is the first 5th grade student to finish

The Book Challenge @ MG Library.

Kaylee is a student in Mrs. Holder’s 5th grade class. Kaylee read 12 books from ‘The Escapist’ category. ‘Escapists’ are interested in worlds that are very different from ours. They enjoy reading books in series with strong world building, fantasy creatures, and well-developed characters. They especially love stories with a quest or journey. Some of the titles included: The False Prince, Gregor the Overlander and Ella Enchanted.

Way to go Kaylee!!

Please check lost and found

We have an overflowing Lost and Found! Please go through the lost and found before the end of school to retrieve any wayward items! We donate all that is left after the last day of school, so please claim your items before it all goes away!
