September 11th
Our entire country reserves this day as a time of reflection and remembrance of the people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. The United States changed after this date and the students we teach will never know the world without war on terrorism. Most of you might not remember where you were because you were so young when this act occurred. Since this remains a sensitive subject, it becomes challenging for educators to teach this historical event (especially elementary school teachers) to their students.
