Victor Early Childhood School

I have a few updates regarding events and opportunities at ECS!
First, some reminders: Please continue to complete the health screening form each morning and to order lunches on line. These two tasks are very time-consuming for our teaching and nursing staff, so we really appreciate parents helping out at home. Also, if your child is going to be absent, please call (585-924-3252, ext. 2410) or email us as soon as you know of the absence (ECSAttendance@victorschools.org). You need to call for each day that your child is going to be out. Also, as you know, the CDC has changed guidance regarding mask-wearing in many locations. However, at school the staff and students must continue to wear masks except for mask breaks such as during snacks and lunches. Parents and family members who come to school for arrival or dismissal are strongly encouraged but not required to continue to wear a mask when outdoors. If for any reason parents must enter the building, a mask is required. Thanks for helping us model mask-wearing for our students!
Our primary school is in the beginning stages of recruiting students who are interested in our string program for students who are entering second and third grade next fall. There is a form to complete and it is attached here:
It is that time of year where we have some special celebrations. Our field days will occur during physical education classes this year and are spread out over the week of June 14th. The PE staff has been working hard to make this a memorable event! We are also working on plans for Flag Day, which will occur on June 14th. The students will be split into various groups to allow for social distancing as we celebrate our flag. Thanks to PE teachers Laura Davis, Jen Parks, and Blake Smith for their work on field days and thanks to our music teachers, Naomi Foley and Tayler Kochan, for working on Flag Day.
The students have adapted so well to this year of changes. It has been great to see the school at full capacity! I so appreciate the flexibility of the staff as we have worked through these challenging times.
Let me know if you have any questions!
