Chris Burkhart-Catawba Mental Health
Chris Burkhart from Catawba Mental Health has taken a Guidance Position at one of the high schools. We wish Ms. Burkhart well in her new venture. As a plan to transition to a new counselor is revealed to me I will give you that information. Please do not let students know this information until Ms. Burkhart has had a chance to contact families.
Please remember to have students use the restroom prior to going to related arts.
Please have students to related arts on time.
Science closet
Jeannie Hill will begin organizing our science closet after the winter break. There are many items in the science closet that do not belong and need to be removed before she begins. Some of these items include fish tanks, books, maps, etc. If any of these items please remove them before winter break. We can use the book room for temporary storage. Thank you for your assistance with this matter.
PTO Update
1. Run-A-Than Sponsors - The PTO is looking for a few more sponsors for our annual Run-A-Thon. If you know a contact person within a local business or company, please send me their contact information and I will pass it on to the PTO.
2. Pie in the face - The annual "Pie in the Face" tradition at the Run-A-Thon has been voted out. The PTO is asking for suggestions from teachers to replace this event. If you have a fun idea, please share it and I will pass it on to the PTO.
There will be no PTO meeting in December. The next PTO meeting will be Jan. 17, 2017 at 6:30.
