Jump Rope for Heart Wrap-Up

Our school had a phenomenal year for Jump Rope for Heart. We raised $12,376.46 for the American Heart Association! This is the most we have ever raised as a school, and is a new record for Manitowoc County.

Our event was a blast this year. There were over 15 centers set up in the gym for the students to choose between. They could choose their center and switch to a new one at their wish. There was an obstacle course, the rock wall, a Just Dance party, and of course, various forms of jump ropes. Those are just a few examples of the fun! Each grade level was in the gym for about an hour to celebrate Jump Rope for Heart.

This week, we had our wrap-up/celebration assembly for Jump Rope for Heart. The top 8 fundraisers got to toss a pie in the face of a teacher, and I was dressed up as Super Pup all day. Lots of laughs and smiles on Thursday!

See below for some photos from our Jump Rope for Heart event.

Have a great spring break!

PS. I'm expecting the Thank-You gifts to arrive shortly after spring break. I'll get them out as soon as I can sort through them.

Have you heard about the Chinese Jump Rope but have no idea what it is? Watch the video below to see a student jump through the first level of the basic pattern for the Chinese Jump Rope. This kind of rope is a favorite for kids in grades K-4. There are 5 levels: the ankles, halfway to the knees, the knees, halfway to the hips, and the hips.
