A Message from the Leadership Team
Adult Education
This past Saturday we had over 70 instructors (Including Lee County Schools) participate in the Rigor, Relevance and Respect in ESOL Instruction Workshop. In addition, 15 support staff members participated in their own training preparing for upcoming changes in testing and data reporting. It was great to see a tremendous staff turnout for what will be a great summer program.
This week we kickoff our summer program that runs from June 13 - July 28. During this summer we are introducing our managed enrollment program with the intention of increasing the rigor in our classes. We ask instructors to communicate any challenges with Focus, attendance and resources to your site coordinators as we situate all students this week.
Have a great first week of class!

Best Practices
Can you concisely sum up the real world benefits that your lesson offers to your adult learners? The adult learners need to be informed of the real world benefits beforehand, and should be reminded of these benefits periodically. This will allow them to realize the purpose behind the educational experience, so that they become motivated and excited.
