Big picture

GRANDPARENT AND SPECIAL PERSON DAY 2019

The grandparents definitely enjoyed watching our staff and students’ last Friday October 19th, 2018. The students and teachers had worked diligently to create engaging environments inside the classrooms with a plethora of activities for the generations to enjoy together. There were worksheets, games, photo backdrops, trivia games played using iPads, and even a chance for our guests to experience some of the technology that had been used to create awesome projects to be printed and displayed! All too soon, the visits came to an end and as some students returned to their regular day and some got a special treat and left with their special guest! Thanks to all our guests who joyfully came to share this special day with us! We look forward to seeing you back in 2019!

HAT DAY HELPERS!

Bailey Lake is proud of the community partners that we have collaborated with over the years. On October 12, students participated in raising funds for the Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center by donating $1 to wear a hat during the school day. Over $300 was raised to support the effort to care and assist for our furry friends in the center. Four of our 5th grade students- Skylar Sieting, Grace Goulet, Maya Wogan, and Kylie Golub- took leadership of this project which concluded with delivering our funds to shelter. Thanks, BLE, for your support of Hat Day!
