February Recap
February in the Stinson Middle School Library was a month filled with collaborative learning, literary exploration, and impactful discussions. AVID and advisory classes joined forces for team-building activities, engaging in STEM challenges and maker space projects that fostered creativity and camaraderie.
ELA classes embarked on a unique literary journey through a musical chairs activity, ensuring that each student found the perfect book to check out. The dynamic and interactive approach added an element of fun to the book selection process, making it a memorable experience for all.
ALE students were treated to the inspiring tale of "Be a King" by Carole Boston Weatherford. Following the reading, students discussed ways to make a positive impact in their communities and adorned themselves with homemade King crowns, symbolizing their commitment to making a difference.
Emerging Bilingual (EB) students delved into vocabulary related to maps, directions, and coding using Ozobot robots. This hands-on experience provided a unique blend of language development and technology exploration. The month concluded with an engaging session of The Unfair Game, involving 6th and 7th grade ELA classes, to impart insights into Black History Month.
February in the Stinson Middle School Library was a time of collaborative learning, literary excitement, and thought-provoking discussions, further enriching the educational experience for all students involved.
