Architecture models were recently used as centerpieces during the Central Houston Annual Luncheon.
Center for Advanced Careers teacher Elmarko Garner and his Advanced Architecture students created these Piet Mondrian-inspired models last school year.
Alief ISD high school journalism students brought home top photography and writing awards from the Texas Association of Journalism Educators Fall Fiesta.

Olle Middle School student Pablo Gomez won 4th chair placement in the Middle School Region Symphony Orchestra.
Symphony is the highest group for Region 23 Middle School Orchestra.
Boone Elementary School teacher Jossie Graterol was also chosen to win the Fueling Education Sweepstakes First Prize.
Graterol won a $1,000 voucher to shop National School Supply’s inventory and free registration to Steve Spangler’s Virtual Science Workshop.

The Center for Advanced Careers will receive blood pressure and stethoscope kits to help students practice the skills that they are learning in the classroom.
Amy Brown
Taylor High School will receive Texas Instruments equipment so students can experience coding and other STEM connections.
Lea Ann Coffey
Alexander Elementary School will receive books for the school's Project LIT Book Club, an initiative to bring high quality, relevant books that lead to a love of reading.
Jennifer Evans
Cummings Elementary School will receive a device and materials for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) integration.
Lora Nance
Mahanay Elementary School will receive makerspace materials for before-school library stations.
Heather May
SOAR will receive a laptop charging cart so that students can readily have access to devices.
Jenifer Rodriguez
Klentzman Intermediate School will receive devices for STEM and project-based learning (PBL) activities.
Dora Yang
Heflin Elementary School will receive devices and headphones to further student learning in the classroom.
