Important Math Material Kits will be Coming Home:

We are thrilled that all of our students will be receiving important math material kits for use on their remote learning days. For our A and B students on the Dial or in Hybrid, the kit will be sent home early next week. For our students in VLA, these kits will be part of the material pick up on Friday, October 30th. (See details above.)

Thank you for reading the following and making sure these kits are placed in a safe spot and all materials are returned in the box after use to make sure your child has them for the entire year!

Dear Families,

Hands on math learning is a key component of our Bridges Math Curriculum. To better facilitate this type of learning your student is receiving a box that contains helpful learning tools they can use during at-home learning experiences. We encourage you to:

  1. Store in a safe spot for continued use throughout the year.

  2. Always place manipulatives back into the “suitcase” after using, so that they do not get misplaced.

  3. Refer to lesson information and/or videos from the teacher to help your student use the tools successfully.

We do not have replacements, so we appreciate your extra care with this wonderful learning tool for your student to KEEP AT HOME. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.

High School Sports:

Spectator Expectations

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has established guidelines that limit attendance to 250 spectators in the outdoor stadium for football. All South Washington County Schools will not sell general admission tickets to football games this year.

  • Varsity level players on the roster will be issued two 2 tickets for their family.
  • The ticket holders must sit together. You may not move around and a student section will not be allowed.
  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • Face coverings will be required when entering and exiting the stadium. They may be removed once seated.
  • Parents will not be allowed to drop off their elementary or middle school students to watch the game.
  • Concessions will not be provided.
  • Gathering outside the stadium, in the parking lot, outside the fencing or other areas of school district property in order to view the game from afar will not be allowed.

  • Based on MDH recommendations, spectators will not be allowed for indoor events and matches.
  • Only team members and essential game staff (workers) will be the only people allowed in the gyms.

Our district is working to provide live-streamed video for matches and games for fans who are not able to attend based on these restrictions. Prep Spotlight TV will be our main streaming partner. Individual games cost $5.99 and a season pass for all sports, games and events $59.99.

Dropping Off Items and Picking Students Up During Day:

If you are dropping off items for students during the day, please have the items labeled with the student's first and last name. You can buzz the intercom so we aware that their items are here and then leave the items right on the cart.

When picking up a student during the day, please use the intercom to buzz the staff for assistance. Always be sure to have your license or identification ready. Students will be summoned and meet you right in the vestibule.
