What Have We Learned So Far?
English Language Arts
Our fairy tale class books have been mailed out and we should be getting our published copies soon. If you purchased a copy, those will be sent home once we get them back.
Science
Upon learning about the shortage of fresh drinking water, the students decided that they wanted to raise money to help build a well. Our Launchgood page has been set up and is awaiting approval, once it is approved I will send a link out to send to family and friends. Please keep an eye out for that.
UOI Summative
The students will choose 1 of 12 tasks to complete to explain the importance of water conservation and what can be done to conserve water.
Subject Specific Summatives
Students will have formatives, which will assess their understanding of the math content and help drive my instruction to better suit their needs. They will also have a mid-module and end of module math summative, the date of this summative will be announced a week prior. I send home review sheets for these assessments, the questions on the review sheet are very similar to those on the tests. Students that complete the review sheets generally do better on the summative, than those that do not do it.
