EXTRAORDINARY Student and Staff Members of the Month!

Alexis Schubert, 4th grade, Mrs. Pope. Alexis is new this year, but in the short time she has been here she has been an exemplary student. She made it into the gifted and talented program and made the robotics team. She was elected by her classmates to represent them in Student Council. She is well-liked by teachers and classmates and always tries her best. She makes very high grades. She is one of the top readers in fourth grade, loves to build with Legos, and plays basketball. She is a very well-rounded student.

Pam Harshaw Intermediate Library Aide- Pam cares about our school and our kids. Pam works so hard to make sure that every student finds a book they can enjoy in the library! Pam is always willing to help cover anyone's duty or class if needed. When events are happening in the library, Pam is quick to help organize, decorate, set up or clean up if needed. Pam's students know that she cares and respects them and that makes her truly irreplaceable on our campus! I am so thankful for the person, teacher and mentor that Pam is to all of us!

Kristi Linthicum, Title 1 & Intervention Teacher- Kristi's colleagues report, "I have worked with Kristi for 15 years and couldn't have been put with anyone better. She is willing to do whatever you ask of her without complaining and with a smile on her face. The students love to come to her classes, she interacts with and is willing to listen to them no matter if they're having trouble with school work or if theres a personal issue they will open up to her." As Kristi's principal, I too can agree with this. Kristi is a hard worker and a problem solver. Nothing that is brought to Kristi can't be solved. Kristi is willing to do whatever is asked, even at a moment's notice. Kristi builds a positive relationship with her students that is so critical for them to succeed at the high standards the state presents to us. Students that work with Kristi don't feel that they are struggling, but that they are empowered to overcome any confusion they may have about a concept!
