Noteworthy News
We are doing some exciting things in our classroom! Today we will be having our Mystery Meet with a classroom in an unknown state. We will be asking them questions to determine which state they are in and they will be asking us questions to determine what state we are in. It's kind of like playing Guess Who but with states. The students are very excited to see what state we will be chatting with!
We are also working on writing persuasive letters to convince someone to adopt a pet from Richmond Animal League (RAL). We will be working on revising and editing our letters this week and we will finish them up at the beginning of next week. I have contacted RAL to see if they would like to collaborate on the project with us, so when they get back to us I may be sending out more information to you all about the project.
Another fun thing we're starting this week is Literature Circles. Each student was put into a group and assigned a book to read. Each week they will be meeting and discussing the parts book they've read so far and have some activities to do with the book. It is exciting to put our reading skills to work in a new way!

Important Info!
For absences, initially your absences will need to be entered into the Google sheet using this link: https://forms.gle/CH8QaEgpRwBf934Y9. It is okay to email the teacher to let them know why your student is absent, especially if it’s an extended time. However, ONLY if you are unable to complete the Google sheet, please email SCES_Mail@ccpsnet.net instead of the teacher or office staff with the absence.
For early dismissals or transportation changes, please send in a note with your student in the morning using the form below. If an unforeseen emergency comes up after your student arrives at school and you need to pick your student up early or make a change to the way they go home, please do not email the teacher or office staff as they may be absent or unable to check emails. Instead, please use the SCES_Mail@ccpsnet.net and email those changes to that email. There are numerous people monitoring the email throughout the day. All changes must be emailed by 3:00 P.M. to assure us time to get the changes to your student.
