Class of 2022
After a student submits an application for admission, colleges will provide a decision on a specific "release date" or on a rolling basis. Financial aid packages will arrive with acceptance letters or a couple of weeks afterward.
REMINDER: ALL STUDENTS WITH JANUARY 1 APPLICATION DEADLINES SHOULD SUBMIT TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS BY DECEMBER 1st.
College Counselors are on break December 18 - January 2
In addition, remember to check the College Counseling Resource Board in Blackbaud for the most current information and helpful resources.
Checking Application Status
- Your College Counselor has sent your first quarter grades and your midterm grades will be submitted in January to each college/university, when available.
- To help you keep track of your application and credentials, once a student submits an application to a college/university, he/she will receive a confirmation email and a link to "check the status of your application.
- It can take a college/university up to 2-3 weeks to process your credentials that were sent electronically. When your college counselor and teacher submit their documents to colleges/universities, it is electronically date stamped when it arrives. However, it can take up to 2-3 weeks for a student's application "status” change to "complete."
- Once a student's application is "complete" it will be reviewed for an admission decision. Please check with each specific college if it has a release date for admission decisions.

Class of 2023
The college search process continues as students will receive their PSAT/MNSQT results, begin standardized test prep, and visit colleges (virtually and/or in-person). Each student will learn how to navigate the College Board and Naviance to research how their academic backgrounds line up with their college search. A big part of researching schools is the location and deciding which college is a fit.
Students must complete the Junior Survey, found in Blackbaud, by Wednesday, January 19, 2021, as they consider the following questions:
- In what part of the country do I want to focus my college search? Rhode Island, New England, out of the region?
- How important is it to me to be close to home?
- Do I see myself in a big city or would I prefer a more rural or suburban setting?
- What academic program/majors am I interested in exploring?
Please Save the Date for Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at 6:30 pm for the College Admission Planning Program for Parents/Guardians of the Class of 2023.
