The five boroughs of New York City include the Bronx, Manhattan, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens. In 1898 these boroughs were joined to form one big city, known as New York City. Over 800 languages are spoken in New York City, making it one of the most diverse major city. New York is one of the most significant cities, with huge influence in fashion, media, art, finance, research, technology, education, and entertainment. New York is filled with excitement and so many fun, interesting things to do such as visit the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art or take a stroll in Central Park.
