My Career

I want to be a preschool teacher because I have always loved children. The environment surrounding this career is very optimistic and enjoying. Ever since I have been taking care of my little sister, I have grown to love the little ones and spend time with them. I feel like I can carry on my passion towards them with this career.

Education Needed

For most private and state school, to become a preschool teacher one must have at least an associates degree. Most teachers start off being an assistant preschool teacher rather than just jumping into the actual position. Most preschool teachers are required to be certified in CPR.


Some coursework that is required in a teacher degree program includes:

-Classroom management and behavior

-Curriculum methods

-Instructional design/resources/technology

-Parent-child relations
