What's Going on at BSE?
Welcome Back!
I am so happy to see people in the building! I have missed everyone and yes, I miss the crazy too! I am so excited to continue the great work that we started last year and to watch how we grow as professionals and how it impacts our classrooms and our students for the better! We have lots going on and my hope is that you will find that your are growing and learning as a teacher on what you need specifically. We will have lots of "Coffee Chats" for you to choose from this year that will hopefully be geared to where you are and you will find new learning that will help you do your job better but also hopefully release some of the "jobs" that you have put on yourself that you do not need to be doing anymore! Less is More!
This year let's "clean out the closets" so to speak! Get rid of the old, get rid of the "stuff" that we feel we must do every year and instead lets really look at the needs of our classroom and our students and design the learning, the activities and the assessments based on their needs and not what comes next in our filing cabinet! I promise you that a lot of the "stuff" that many of us are doing everyday might not be needed and if needed there might be a better way to do it in order to take some of the stress and anxiety off your plate.
I have the hardest working staff in Collierville Schools. You are amazing and talented teachers who put 100% into everyday here at school! I don't want to change that or make you feel that you are doing things incorrectly or wrong. What I want is for you to have fun and to alleviate some of the intense stress that I see in your faces every year and bring back what school is suppose to be about and that is a passion for learning!
To a great year!
Cindy
P.S. The first day was awesome! Parents were happy, children were happy, cafeteria was happy....you can't get better than that. Thanks for breaking out the t-charts and starting the process of helping our kids make great choices!

BSE Mission and Vision 2017
It is time for BSE to revamp its mission and vision to match what we are doing as a school today! We have a great mission and vision and it may be that we just need to tweak a couple of things. The biggest reason that we need to look at our mission and vision is to have conversations about it and talk about how we go about fostering what we think is important and are able to share this information with our stakeholders. If you are interested in being on this team, please just let me know by sending an email. We will not meet until sometime in September so that all of us have a moment to get school off the ground and our kids in the right mindset!
