*If you need to reach Miss King her email is email@example.com
*** Please remember that all students are responsible for bringing their own small healthy snack each day. We have a short 10-15 minute working snack each day in class. Thank you for your time and help with this.***
*Please note that we do have a food allergy in our room now. The student is not allowed to eat gluten, wheat or peanuts. It is ok to have these items in the classroom....but please be aware of this new food allergy when thinking about healthy BIRTHDAY SNACKS!
Yearbook Sales: January 16th - January 29th
If you did not purchase a yearbook in August on “fee day,” your child will be bringing home a yearbook order form. Until January 29th, the cost of a yearbook is $14. If there are extra yearbooks at the end of the school year, the cost will be $18.
Notes from the Office:
Emergency Closings and Delays: Please visit the RCPS website, www.rockingham.k12.va.us under “Parents/Students” then “Subscribe to Notifications” to register for direct email or text notification of inclement weather delays and closures.
Breakfast will be served on inclement weather delay days.
In order for Peak View Elementary to contact you in case of an emergency, please notify the PKVES Office in writing of any change in your personal information (name, address, phone number, work place, work phone, etc.).
Peak View has approximately 70 self-identified families who have indicated a need for food assistance on the weekends. We are currently feeding 145 children every week. Our program, which has grown exponentially this year, is looking for financial support. The cost to sponsor one child for an academic year is approximately $200. Would you consider supporting this worthwhile cause to help end hunger for children in our school community?
Our PTA will gladly accept any donation offered. Checks can be made out to: Peak View PTA Backpack Program. You will be issued a receipt as this is a charitable donation.
