At the beginning of the week, the firefighters came to visit! It’s time to check the batteries in your smoke detectors!
Then it was time for pumpkins!!!!!
Pumpkin Palooza!
This week has been all about pumpkins! We have talked about what we already know about pumpkins and what questions we can find answers for. We opened up a pumpkin and named all the parts. We got messy and sticky, and that’s ok!
We worked on building our own preschool pumpkin patch and had so much fun making a scarecrow. And, of course, we found, picked, painted, and played with pumpkins!!!
We learned the song “Five Little Pumpkins” and took turns leading the class :)
We made small versions of the song to practice with :)
Sequencing the growth of a pumpkin from seed to finished product was fun for all!
Numeral cards paired with countable pumpkin cards to make matches in this game :)
Reusable felt pieces allowed us to change expressions on jack-o-lanterns and talk about emotions - happy, sad, mad, etc.
Pumpkin sink or float!
Pumpkin guts!
Pin the nose on the Jack-o-lantern and Jack-o-lantern Bean Bag toss!!
We made a pumpkin patch!!
... and a scarecrow! His name is Jack.
Picking pumpkins from our class patch!
... and painting them! They're still drying :)
Some of our helpers this week ...
We play with our friends and do activities together :)
