Hi! My name is Rebecca Crumpton. I was born and raised in Rock Hill, SC. My husband Russ and I have two wonderful kids named Anna Kate (12 years old) and Will (eleven years old). We have two basset hound dogs named Sadie and Lucy. When I am not working, you will probably find me on the soccer field watching my children play. I have been a nurse for 14 years, with all of my experience being in pediatric nursing. I have also worked in an outpatient infusion center and endoscopy center. I am excited to be a new member of the Mount Holly family!
My name is April McConneaughey. During my educational career, I’ve had the pleasure of working in several areas in the field of education. I have also worked as of this year in 3 different states, (North Carolina, Michigan and now the wonderful state of South Carolina!) I have worked as a Principal, Central Office Special Education Liaison, General Education Teacher in 5th and 6th grades and as a Special Education Teacher in grades K-12 at both the resource and self-contained levels.
My educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Catawba College, a Masters Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Inclusion and a Masters Degree in School Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. I also teach part-time at a private college.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading various types of genre and working with various faith-based and community organizations. I am passionate about helping each student achieve their greatest potential!
- I'm from Burlington, NC and I've had a variety of educational experiences at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school). I've been a teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal and mentor. Family is also extremely important to me. I married my high school friend, Patti. We have one son, Todd. Todd is a middle school math teacher. We are all die-hard DUKE BLUE DEVIL BASKETBALL FANS. Go Duke Blue Devils! My hobbies include: Swimming everyday, gardening, and playing/officiating basketball games.
Derrick Amos, Behavioral Management Assistant
- I'm from Sumter, SC and graduated from Lakewood High School. I also attended Tennessee State and briefly played football. I enjoy working with children and have been working in the mental health field for 17 years. I worked for 10 years in CMS. I'm already enjoying my new job at Mount Holly Elementary School and being a part of the Mustang Family!
- I love to travel and spend time with family. I studied at Winthrop University. I have taught in Atlanta, GA, Charlotte, NC, and Mexico. I am excited to be teaching in Rock Hill, SC! I wish everyone a Happy 2019-2020 School Year!
- I was born in NE Ohio and moved to Clemson, SC when I was 13 years old. I am a proud graduate of DW Daniel High School! I have a B.A. in History from Clemson University, a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from USC, and a Master's in History from Winthrop University. I have been married since the dinosaurs roamed the earth and I am the mother of four boys. I love books, napping, chocolate, and Harry Potter. I like to dance through my day and have been known to break into song at the sight of snow.
- I am an EXCITED Special Education Teacher. I'm eager to meet and work with all of our various learners here at Mount Holly! This will be my 8th year serving as a Resource Teacher, but my first year within Rock Hill Schools. You can find me throughout the building every morning. I'm looking forward to a FABULOUS 2019-2020 school year!
