Location: Barrington High School, CRC (front doors, turn left, first door on left)
Description: Barrington 220 parents are invited to this Parent University titled, Living with Asynchrony—Tips and Tools, featuring a presentation by Dr. Michele Kane from Northeastern University. Asynchrony is the term used to acknowledge uneven development between cognitive, emotional, and physical attributes of gifted children. "Gifted children often have significant variations within themselves and develop unevenly across skill levels. For example, a gifted child may be excellent in math, but poor in reading--or vice versa. Often, intellectual skills are quite advanced, but fine motor or social skills are lagging" (NAGC, 2019). Dr. Michele Kane will help to explain the developmental variance of our most advanced learners. Join us! Click here to RSVP.
