Mustang Message January 14th
Read all about it!
Poverty, wage discrimination, housing, education, justice and peace. These pillars/platforms represent on of the most important people in our country's history - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. What he stood for then is embodied within many of us as Americans now and it's important to honor who he was and what he AND OTHERS stood for during the mid-20th century. Many students did or will discuss his and other's impact on our country and what they brought to light to bring about a more just society.
Within the building, we continue to enjoy our students back at Millridge - they are hard at work again and making gains as students and people!
- Fourth graders used fractions to break down the letters in their name
- Word Detectives are on the hunt in first grade, spying some pretty great reading strategies!
- Kindergarten students are getting ready to medically "treat" a teddy bear at the Clinic (aka Mayfield Innovation Center) with our MedTech teachers and students
- Third grade students are using figurative language to describe their class (and maybe even their teacher)!
As you can see, the learning never stops at Millridge! We're excited to continue to partner with you as a team. Have a great long weekend!
Look for details in our next newsletter in how we will recognize Black History Month in February. See below, too on our plans for Valentines Day.
