MHS Theatre Attends Texas Thespians State Festival
On Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, the Melissa High School Theatre attended the Texas Thespians State Festival. Twenty-eight Melissa High School Theatre students attended the festival, with three competing in the Solo Musical Theatre Competition. Great job to these amazing students. MHS Art Students Showcased in the Texas Arts Association Conference
Congratulations to five Melissa High School Art program who were chosen to showcase their artwork in the Texas Arts Association Conference on Nov. 17-18. The students received a Certificate of Exhibition: Keira Barbosa, Madison Mitchell, Sylar Riebel, Crischa Tuscano, Logan Venner. Great job, Cardinals!
Trim the Tree
Melissa ISD held its annual tradition called "Trim the Tree" on Tuesday, Nov. 28. Students were treated to hot cocoa, popcorn, and a reading of The Night Before Christmas as they hung their handmade ornaments on the tree. Robotics State
The Melissa High School Robotics team is participating at the UIL State Robotics Tournament from Nov. 30 through Dec. 2. They are competing against 72 teams over the course of three days in Dallas in the 2023 BEST Division Championship. Hwy 5 Classic Basketball Tournament
Melissa High School has teamed up with Anna and Van Alystne to host the Hwy 5 Classic Basketball Tournament from Nov 30 through Dec 2. Both Girls and Boys Basketball will be playing at all three levels, Varsity, JV, and Freshmen. Both Boys and Girls Varsity teams went undefeated on Thursday. Collin County Ballet Theatre Presents "The Nutcracker"
Tickets are on sale for the Collin County Ballet Theatre's production of the Nutcracker. The performance will be held Sunday, Dec. 17, at 3:30 p.m. at the Melissa Arts Center and will feature dancers from right here in the Melissa Community. Click the button below to purchase tickets.
Best Cheerleading Squad in Texas Poll

Sit With Us is a monthly discussion group to address concerns, ask questions and determine ways to collectively work toward solutions with your child’s campus administration. The philosophy of Sit With Us is that Melissa parents are Cardinal Champions who see the best for not only their students but for all students. If it matters to one Cardinal, it matters to all Cardinals.
