A Note From Mrs. Mathe
Grit and determination are 2 words that come to mind when I reflect on this past week. As you may have seen in an email from the district on Wednesday, our internet outages last week were caused from an outside source trying to take down our network. Even though the situation was frustrating and beyond ideal, our teachers and families did an amazing job making a shift in the plans so students could continue to learn here at school and at home. Thank you again for your understanding and patience, grit and determination.
As we begin to prepare for the 2nd grading period, and the shift of many student's instructional setting, it may be necessary to adjust our master schedule. If you remember, at the beginning of the year, our teacher leaders chose to teach both virtually and remotely in order to lessen the number of teacher changes a student may have to make when switching learning platforms. Currently, teachers have been able to instruct their in-person students for half the day, and their virtual students the other half. This was due to the number of students enrolled in each mode of instruction. As students come back on campus, we will be making adjustments to accommodate this change.
One of the changes that may occur is that some of our teacher pairs will begin to instruct our in-person students and remote students simultaneously. Teachers will communicate to families any necessary changes to live instruction time, office hours, and/or small group instruction.
Below are the links that were emailed yesterday for requesting a change in instructional setting. Please click the link for the learning platform your child is CURRENTLY participating in.
