Happy Tuesday!
So busy....
October is a HUGE month in the life of school improvement. I know that my calendar and my running can make you wonder when you might get a chance to connect with me. Please know that I am never too busy for you - I will always find time (even if we need to get creative). I will admit, emailing me can be a bit hit-or-miss as they can often get trapped between the many others I receive every day. Please feel free to call or text whenever you have something on your mind, anytime of the day. 248-633-6830
Time Tracker protocols are coming.
As soon as I have them I will share them with you. To help prepare you for the rollout I thought I might address a few items:
1) In order for us to be in a place where we can calibrate it's use we will only be collecting data in a limited capacity this year. Hopefully this limited data collections will assist in easing this second item-
2) We will be asking that you go back in your data to the beginning of July as best you can. You'll have some time to go backwards and, knowing how all of you document your work in your calendars, I think you will be able to put in the requested information without issue.
Scarecrow ideas
I thought we could plan a little on the fly before (I am going to send out a lunch invite) and after our unit meeting (which, coincidentally, may end a little early due to a change in some State programming information that was on the agenda). Let's sign up to bring some materials on Monday that might assist us in getting started. I have added these items to the Google document, please sign up to bring what you can. Ashley, if you have any of these items perhaps you can bring them in on Thursday?
Monday's Meeting
Just a reminder on a couple of items:
1) You will be sharing out your choice of your sidekick and the reason for your choice as it relates to your role in supporting our local superhero's. Your sidekick will be needed immediately! Please see above Scarecrow message.
2) Please bring a copy of your resume with you to our meeting. If you already have it on your computer then just bring your computer with you. We will be using it for an activity.
3) Consultants - Please review Marty's email regarding our unit book study.
I can't wait to meet your sidekick identities!
Opportunity Gap
PS - there is a biblical quote at the end of the video due to it's original source. Please stop the video at the point where the students are in a circle if you prefer not to engage with the text.
