DARE Camp 2021!
Hello Friends,
We are excited to announce our summer dates for 2021.
Current 6th grade students July 26-30.
Current 5th grade students August 2-6.
Current 4th grade students August 9-13.
As we navigate these challenging times, as a staff we agreed to modify our summer program for this year with hopes to have our usual number of weeks in 2022.
We hope to have our applications available by the end of April through the elementary schools and our website. As we develop our itinerary, we will be looking at state regulations and CDC guidelines. With that in mind we reserve the right to change our activities and/or field trips during each week we are open.
Please know that we do not take these decisions lightly and understand the impacts this may have on our students and their families. We will be doing our best to keep everyone safe, healthy and entertained.
Thank you for your support,

April Word of the Month
April’s words of the month, and focus for schoolwide classroom lessons, is Diversity and Inclusiveness.
What is it? Inclusivity is demonstrated when you include individuals who might otherwise be excluded. Diversity is the practice of including or involving people from a range of different social and ethnic backgrounds and of different genders, sexual orientations, etc. (Oxford Dictionary)
Why is it important? Studies show that individuals are more successful when they feel they can use their unique strengths and skills every day. Inclusivity allows everyone to feel they belong and builds trust and productiveness. Teaching diversity exposes students to various cultural and social groups, preparing students to become better citizens in their communities
What does it look like? Cooperation, collaboration, accountability, curiosity, being fair, being respectful, belonging
