Henry Samson, Assistant Principal, IKE
Welcome Henry Samson, Assistant Principal at Eisenhower High School
The Yakima School District is proud to welcome Henry Samson as Assistant Principal at Eisenhower High School. Henry reports to Principal Eric Diener.
Mr. Samson was born in Seattle and raised in Latin America, spending most of his K-12 years in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His time there helped Henry become fluent in Spanish. He returned to Washington State and attended Whitman College in Walla Walla where he majored in English.
His first job was as a Special Education/English Language Learning Paraeducator for the Walla Walla Public Schools. Henry then earned a Master’s in Teaching at Heritage University while teaching 6th grade at the Mt. Adams School District in Harrah.
Over the past four years, Mr. Samson has taught 8th grade English Language Arts at Washington Middle School. Henry shares his own life-long passion for learning with students in English and Spanish, providing support for them to grow and gain confidence at school.
Henry enjoys time outdoors whether golfing, skiing, grilling, or hiking. Spending time with family is important to him, and a guitar, an instrument he has been practicing for 18 years, is always close at hand.
