Congratulations to 6th Grader Samantha Veloso on her win from this past Saturday's United States Chess Federation ranked online tournament (The Palm Beach Online Scholastic Championship). Samantha is the first middle school girl to finish as top Franklin student in a tournament. We are so proud of you Samantha!

Good luck to our chess students competing in the National K12 Chess Showdown this weekend!

Let's celebrate our teachers for the holidays!

Franklin Academy PTO is collecting donations so that we can purchase gift cards for every faculty member. This has been a crazy year! We know that our teachers and admin have worked incredibly hard to make the most of these challenging circumstances. Even though you may have something planned for your main teacher, there are so many hands that support your child, and we want to make sure we show our gratitude to them all! We know everyone's budgets are different this time of year - especially this year, so give whatever amount feels right to you. We'll pool it all together and spread it out equally. Help us spread some holiday cheer!

Staff Transition

After many years with our organization Dr. Dallas will be leaving our Franklin family at the winter break. Moving into the role of Student Services Coordinator is Ms. Brittany Taylor. Ms. Taylor is also a veteran Franklin staff member who has supported teachers and students in a number of capacities in her years here. I am confident Ms. Taylor will do an amazing job in this new role. When we return from break, please be sure that you update any correspondence regarding ESE students to include Ms. Taylor ( Ms. Taylor will continue to serve as our ESOL coordinator and Ms. Bottenfield will still coordinate 504 plans.
