Second Semester Begins February 1st!
Hey Gators. Monday is the first day of second semester and quarter 3. You will go back to periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 again. An updated bell schedule is attached to this message.
For those of you that passed all of your classes, CONGRATULATIONS! When you pass your classes, you have more flexibility in your schedule to take the courses you want. If you do not pass your classes, you may have fewer options of which courses you get to take in the future. That is just one reason why we always have to goal to pass all of our classes.
For those of you that struggled and did not pass a class first semester, you may be able to retrieve that credit by earning a passing grade second semester. Please take full advantage of the synchronous learning time as well as the asynchronous learning time. It is also a good idea to reach out to your teachers for extra support during the available drop-in time. If you need additional support, please don't hesitate to reach out to your teachers, your counselor, or our deans. Contact information is posted on our Decatur website.
We are excited to get second semester underway. In the coming weeks, you will start hearing more about the registration process and the course offerings we will have available for next year. Registration information will be shared in the coming weeks through your SEL/CCR classes so stay tuned!
Have a great weekend and remember the words of a former Gator, Dom Cooks-
"It is, and always is, a great day to be a Gator! Yitadee!!!"
February is Black History Month
Throughout the month of February, our scholars that are a part of GUARD (Gators United Against Racism and Discrimination) are planning some schoolwide lessons that will be taught during SEL/CCR time throughout the month.
