District News Letters

We donut know what we would do without you! (Meet and Greet)

Parents, we want to connect with you! Please come on in the building this January 17th from 8:15 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. in the library to meet your administration and counseling team. Doughnuts and coffee will be provided. This should be a fun and informal time to get to know those at school who want to support you and your student.

Acceptance

This month Gateway is focused on acceptance as our character theme. Each Friday, we will have training on bullying. During our Martin Luther King Jr Assembly we will focus on acceptance. On February 3rd your administration team will go to all PE classes to discuss acceptance. Students will receive GUARD Cards when showing acceptance of others.

It would be wonderful if at home you also discuss the importance of accepting others. Accepting someone just means you are showing all people respect. We all come from different backgrounds. Sometimes we agree with others and other times we do not. This does not mean we can't show acceptance through kindness to all people.

dropping off student lunches

We know that students can sometimes forget lunches at home. Please know that while office staff will do their best to get the lunches to students, we cannot interrupt instruction for this reason. Also, we do not have access to microwaves for students so we ask that you plan accordingly.

District Technology and Student Use

It is important that our students are using technology appropriately. Please take a moment with your child to review the Everett Public Schools technology policy. https://docushare.everett.k12.wa.us/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-5935/3245P.pdf
